Situated in Clashanure, Ovens, just 15 minutes from Cork City, Lee Valley Golf Club features an 18-hole championship parkland course designed by Irish golfing legend Christy O’Connor Jnr.
The course officially opened in 1992–1993 with a memorable exhibition match between Christy O’Connor Jnr and Fred Couples. Since then, it has become a cornerstone of Irish golf, cherished by members and visitors alike.
The Keohane family - Jerry, Peg, and later their sons Paul and David have been integral to the club’s history, helping develop and grow the club from its early days.
Notably, Shane Lowry won the Lee Valley Senior Scratch Cup in 2009, shortly before turning professional, adding to the club’s proud sporting legacy.
