Lee Valley Golf Club is situated in Clashanure, Ovens, Cork, about 15 minutes from Cork City.
The 18‑hole championship course was designed by Irish golfing legend Christy O’Connor Jnr.
The course officially opened in 1992‑1993. The opening featured an exhibition match between Christy O’Connor Jnr and Fred Couples.
The Keohane family (Jerry, Peg, and later their sons Paul and David) have been central to the club’s history. They were originally involved in its development from the early 1990s.
Shane Lowry won the Lee Valley Senior Scratch Cup in 2009 just before turning professional.
